has anyone had their wisdom teeth extracted?

I’m getting mine out really soon, and I’m freaking out. D:

I’m okay with the recovery stage, but I’m more afraid of the surgery itself. I’ll most likely be awake for it. Ughh halp.

Share some experiences with me? ;____;

  1. prettypinkcutecherryblossomtrees answered: No but I’m scared to I hear it’s not that bad though., Good Luck.! :)
  2. himysweetheart1996 answered: nope so sorry good luck though!!!!
  3. amazelittlethings answered: You’ll be fine. I had all 4 taken out at the same time and the only thing that sucked was that I couldn’t eat cause my mouth was all bloody
  4. agentkeysel answered: I got 4 teeth extracted, under general anesthesia. I had chipmunk cheeks for a weekend, and had to eat porridge for a week. Good luck
  5. serephita answered: Yup! I had all 4 done at once last May. Honestly, I was glad they knocked me out. Just stay away from soup with rice while recovering.
  6. princessspaarkle answered: I had all 4 out and they were all impacted, and it was totally fine! I was completely knocked out for it though, so it was like sleeping :)
  7. sierraapril answered: Not to scare you, but my back left wisdom tooth was so deep in my jaw that he had to use a mini chisel get it out. Yeah, oww.
  8. sakura-chuu answered: i got all 4 taken out at the same time, was put to sleep so i didn’t feel anything. It didn’t hurt at all after I woke up , you’ll be fine!
  9. lacebird said: so it made me feel a bit more comfortable. It wasn’t bad at all actually. They just used local anesthesia on my gum. :) good luck!
  10. lacebird answered: I had, just one of them though. I’m not gonna lie, I had a slight panic attack when the doc tried to take out my tooth but my mom was there
  11. nninasmiles answered: I got mine done during summer and I was put alseep. It wasn’t as bad as I thought and I had painkillers, so I didn’t fell a thing. Good luck!
  12. lyyyyyyyyyy answered: i was put to sleep and it was the best sleep ever ! lol it felt like 10 minutes too, first and second day of recovery is the worst imo
  13. lhynlhyn answered: i’m awake during the entire process and it didn’t hurt.. but afterwards.. you need to put some ice and take some meds to numb your gums :)
  14. papercake answered: going to message you bc too long ^^
  15. jupitersdarling answered: Just make sure you’re 100% honest with the dentist about whether or not you can still feel things when you first start out. Number the better
  16. spirituus answered: it goes by in a blink! like i remember them putting the medicine into me and the next thing i knew i woke up!
  17. sakura-memories answered: Yes. I was out like a light when I got mine extracted, so I didn’t feel anything at all
  18. shotokeki answered: The recovery after kinda sucks. It’s not “excrutiating” pain, but it’s like a dull, constant pain in your mouth at all times. Wasn’t so bad.
  19. decisions729 answered: I was awake and I just felt some pulling… it didn’t hurt till after
  20. jkyung-e answered: I could hardly feel it cause they gave me sedatives, so it shouldn’t hurt too much =] it’s the recovery stage that was the annoying part…
  21. lotsofcinnamon said: I did, a year or 2 ago. Well, in my case I wasn’t sleeping, they just gave the anestesya.. My mouth is too little so it was like they were broking my face in two because of the effort. What I consider the worst its the after.. xD
  22. blueberry-sky said: They gave me the choice of being awake or asleep. I chose asleep, because I get freaked out too. So I just fell asleep, and it was all over when I woke up. You might be a little loopy though :) It’ll be fine! Absolutely painless!
  23. kisumai answered: most of the time you’ll be put asleep. it doesn’t hurt during the surgery but afterwards is a bit annoying. :/
  24. himitsunoyume answered: Actually isn’t so bad. They usually give you some type of sedative even if your still awake. Afterwards it may be bothersome.
  25. thiamon answered: they’ll numb and put you to sleep O: so don’t worry about waking up in the middle of surgery. That’s only in those scary movies~
  26. soaringuniverse answered: Go talk to Dia about this. She knowssss.
